Among both the Jeep Safari and Elephant Safar, the Elephant Safari is always a better option to get the close sight of the wildlife. The elephant safari can go very near to the wild animals, especially, the Rhinos without scaring them off while the Jeep safari can only move on the fix safari track limiting the chances of the closer view.

If you are visiting during the winter season, try to get the elephant safari in the second shift as the first shift organized very early in the morning and your wildlife viewing can be hindered by the dense fog of the winter season.

Apart from the Jeep Safari and the elephant safari, the facility of the Boat safari is also available in the Eastern range of the park.

The Kaziranga National Park remains closed from around the first week of June to the first week of October every year due to the flooding of the park.

The park remains open for the safari in between 05:30 AM to 04:00 PM only. The Elephant Safari starts at 05:30 AM while Jeep Safari starts at 7:30 AM.

You should arrive around half an hour prior to the scheduled safari time.

If you have taken the permit for the elephant safari then you have to visit at the Mihimukh riding tower in the Central range or at the Bagori headquarter in the Western range to catch the elephant.

While on an elephant safari, strictly follow the instructions of the Elephant mahout.

You must carry the Binoculars to boost the wildlife sighting experience and Camera to capture the precious wildlife moments.
